It is the commitment and mission of Gateway to Veterans Services along with the VA’s Commitment to End Veteran Homelessness.Veterans

According to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, more than 67,000 Veterans are homeless in the United States and more than 20% of those homeless veterans had to stay in an emergency shelter or transitional housing program in a recent year.

What Steps Have Been Taken To End Veteran Homelessness?

In 2009, President Obama and U.S. Department of Veterans
Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki announced the federal government’s goal to end Veteran homelessness by 2015.

We Need Your Help
Through the Homeless Veterans Initiative, the VA has committed a lot of money to strengthen programs that prevent and end homelessness among Veterans. Unfortunately it has not been enough. We still need your help.

What Does This Provide for Homeless Veterans?

  • Health care
  • Housing
  • Job training

Veterans are homeless for many reasons through no fault of their own. Gateway to Veterans Services wants to help make a difference in their lives by funding solutions that will allow homeless Veterans to get the help they need.

All Americans can and are urged to join us in this fight to end Veteran homelessness.
